Brendan O’Sullivan

About the Author

Brendan O’Sullivan teaches Mathematics at Davis College, Mallow, Co. Cork. He has contributed to several educational publications, both as author and consultant. He is an experienced examiner and designer of professional development for Maths teachers. 
The many roles that he has held with the Teaching Council and National Induction Programme for Teachers demonstrate his passion for professional growth in education. Brendan holds a Master’s Degree in both Education and in Curriculum Studies (Mathematics) from UCC.
He has a special interest in mathematics textbooks and conducted one of the largest analyses of textbook tasks nationally and internationally as part of his PhD at DCU. Over the years, he has served as Chairperson and Secretary of the Irish Mathematics’ Teachers Association at both national and local branch level.

Ciarán Duffy

About the Author

Ciarán Duffy has taught in Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB since 2001. Since 2018, he has been Deputy Principal of St Kevin's Community College, Clondalkin. 
Ciarán has lectured Junior Cycle mathematics methodologies to trainee teachers in DCU, has corrected all levels of mathematics papers with the SEC since 2002 and has written several mock papers and marking schemes. He has delivered numerous revision course seminars and webinars to Junior and Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths students in Trinity College. Over the past number of years, he has delivered online and in-person classes to students through Trinity Access.
Since 2012, Ciarán has served on the committee of the Dublin Branch of the Irish Mathematics Teachers' Association and has been national chairperson of the IMTA since 2019.

Eoghan O’Leary

About the Author

Eoghan O'Leary is an assistant principal and teacher of Mathematics and Economics at Hamilton High School, Bandon, Co. Cork. His excellence as an educator is reflected by being shortlisted for the award for Irish Teachers of Mathematics in both 2017/18 and 2018/19.
His commitment to Maths teaching extends beyond the classroom. He has lectured in Mathematics Methodologies in U.C.C. and has served in various roles of the Cork branch of the Irish Maths Teachers’ Association (IMTA) committee since 2011 and is currently deputy chairperson of the National Council of the IMTA. 
Eoghan is the founder of and director of education at the Tuition Centre, one of the best-regarded sources of online tuition for students in Ireland. He is creator of Leaving Cert Higher Level mock exams and marking schemes, both with the Tuition Centre and with the Examcraft Group.
